Ahead of the highly anticipated 2025 Super Bowl, Travis Kelce, tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, opened up about his admiration for girlfriend Taylor Swift’s dedication to her craft.
Kelce, who has been dating the 14-time Grammy Award-winning singer since September 2023,
shared his thoughts on what it was like to witness Swift’s rigorous commitment during her record-breaking Eras Tour.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference ahead of the big game, Kelce was asked what he had learned about Swift’s devotion to her work.
His response gave fans a glimpse into the intensity and discipline that defines Swift’s work ethic.
“I think what I saw on that Eras Tour last year was pretty remarkable,” Kelce began.
“To see the week in, week out, traveling from one country to the next, how excruciating it is on her body and on her mind,” he continued. He went on to explain that it wasn’t just Swift’s personal effort that stood out, but also the immense teamwork behind the scenes. “It was her entire tour. It was the dancers, it was the band, it was the singers, it was everybody involved. It was an absolute machine, and it was something I could admire watching, and I think about it all the time,” Kelce said.
The Eras Tour was no small feat. Spanning five continents, the tour became the highest-grossing tour of all time, raking in millions while being seen by over 10 million fans worldwide. Swift’s remarkable performance included a staggering 149 shows, each lasting about three hours, with multiple costume changes and a set list featuring over 40 songs. Kelce, who attended several of the concerts, even made a surprise appearance on stage with Swift at Wembley Arena in London, thrilling fans and showing his support for her.
Taylor Swift’s Support at the Super Bowl
As the Chiefs prepare to face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in a bid to secure an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl title, much of the spotlight is on Kelce. However, the relationship between him and Swift has also garnered significant attention. The singer has been a regular presence at Chiefs games, and she was seen cheering Kelce on during the AFC Championship game, where the Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills to secure their place in the Super Bowl.
Swift’s visible support for Kelce during these critical games, including a sweet moment where she kissed him amid the confetti following their victory, has been widely covered in the media. When asked about her potential support for the Super Bowl, Kelce humorously suggested that, despite her father being an Eagles fan, Swift would be “wearing red” for the Chiefs during this year’s big game.
However, the focus on Kelce’s relationship with Swift has led to some questions about the possibility of an engagement ring if the Chiefs win the Super Bowl. Kelce, ever the professional, quickly shut down any rumors. “A Super Bowl ring? Next question,” he said, signaling his concentration on the game ahead and his commitment to the task at hand.
Super Bowl LVI and Taylor’s Journey
While Kelce is focused on winning for the Chiefs, fans can’t help but recall Swift’s impressive commitment to balancing her professional and personal life during the previous year’s Super Bowl. In 2024, Swift made headlines when she traveled directly from a concert in Tokyo to Las Vegas, just in time to attend the Super Bowl and cheer on Kelce and the Chiefs. The fact that she made the journey and still had time to enjoy the game added an extra layer of admiration for her commitment to supporting Kelce, despite her jam-packed schedule.
As Kelce gets ready to play in the Super Bowl, his admiration for Taylor Swift’s work ethic continues to resonate. It’s clear that Swift’s dedication to her craft is something that Kelce deeply respects. While the Super Bowl will undoubtedly be a major focus for Kelce and his team, Swift’s presence and unwavering support continue to make headlines in both the sports and entertainment worlds. Whether she’s performing on stage or cheering from the stands, Swift’s commitment to her work and her relationship with Kelce are undeniable, making her a standout figure in both industries.
