The genre has seen a resurgence in recent years, with audiences increasingly interested in stories that blend traditional mystery with themes of faith, morality, and community. Coles has tapped into this demand by creating a narrative that examines the nuances of church life while delivering an engaging and suspenseful crime story. It’s a combination that has clearly resonated with readers and is poised to do the same with television viewers.
As the drama adaptation of *Murder Before Evensong* moves forward, Coles is likely to see a surge in popularity both as a writer and a television personality.
