Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, who have been famously feuding for years, are now seemingly on good terms. In a surprising twist, Nicki is not only supporting Cardi but also exposing Offset, Cardi’s estranged husband, for using her. This unexpected alliance between the two rap queens has left fans stunned.
The feud between Nicki and Cardi dates back to 2017 when rumors suggested that Nicki felt threatened by Cardi’s rising stardom. Things escalated in 2018 when the two were featured on Migos’ track “Motorsport,” and tensions only grew from there. Their rivalry hit its peak during a 2018 Fashion Week party where Cardi allegedly threw a shoe at Nicki. The two continued to trade insults through social media, interviews, and even in their music. Nicki’s video for “Hard White” famously included a scorpion getting crushed, a clear dig at Cardi, whose zodiac sign is Scorpio.
However, the tides seem to have turned now that Cardi has reportedly split from Offset. Nicki has not only extended an olive branch to Cardi but also thrown major shade at Offset, accusing him of being a clout chaser who used Cardi for fame. Offset and Nicki’s feud isn’t new; it intensified last year when Offset had a confrontation with Nicki’s husband, Kenneth Petty, which led to Kenneth being placed under house arrest.
The drama further escalated when Kenneth leaked private DMs from Offset, which showed the two exchanging heated words. Kenneth’s threats against Offset went viral, resulting in his house arrest, and Nicki didn’t hold back either. She accused Offset of making false reports to the police and CPS about her family, which led to cops surrounding her home with guns drawn. Nicki blasted Offset on social media, claiming that he was trying to sabotage her family.
This beef between Nicki and Offset seems to have deepened Nicki’s disdain for him, possibly even more than her previous animosity toward Cardi. Many were shocked to see Nicki reaching out to Cardi, considering their long history of conflict. But with Offset now in their crosshairs, the two women might have found common ground.
Offset’s solo career has struggled since Migos split, and his financial situation is reportedly not as secure as he portrays. While Cardi has been successful and has made smart investments, Offset’s spending habits have raised eyebrows. Their marital assets, including two homes, are mostly in Cardi’s name. The rumors surrounding Offset’s cheating and other scandals have only added fuel to the fire, leading to Cardi filing for divorce and seeking primary custody of their two children.
As for Cardi, she’s been dealing with the chaos of her divorce while also managing her music career. Despite the turmoil, she’s been working on a new album, which is set to release in 2024. Fans are eager to see how her personal experiences will influence her music. Interestingly, some fans speculate that Cardi’s recent pregnancy announcement might be a strategic move, possibly to soften the blow of her divorce or to create a narrative of new beginnings.
As this drama unfolds, the public remains divided. Some sympathize with Cardi, while others are more critical of her choices. Meanwhile, Nicki and Cardi’s newfound alliance against Offset raises questions about the future of their relationship and whether this is a genuine truce or just another chapter in their ongoing saga.
