When my husband Brian said he had a work party, I didn’t think much of it. But after receiving a suspicious phone call, everything changed. I rushed to confront him and ended up packing his things the next day.
We’d been married for ten years, but I never saw the betrayal coming. It all started when Brian came home one Thursday night, excited about a “work party” the next day. His behavior seemed off, but I didn’t question it. The next morning, he was unusually sweet, asking me to make his favorite lasagna and clean the house. I didn’t think anything was strange—until I got a call that changed everything.
On the phone, I heard Brian mocking me, saying I was probably cleaning while he was out with “his love.” The call ended with an address. My heart sank, and without hesitation, I drove to the location, a luxury Airbnb.
There, I saw Brian, laughing with a woman in a red dress. He was caught off guard when he saw me. I calmly confronted him, using the cleaning supplies I’d brought to expose his lies. I told the party guests, “If he cheats with you, he’ll cheat on you.”
As I left, I got a message from someone named Valerie, who had been watching Brian. She told me she used to work with him and had seen his lies firsthand. Grateful for the tip, I went home, packed his things, and changed the locks. The next morning, I sent him a text: “Enjoy.” It felt good to take back control. Divorce was next, and I was ready.
