Mark Wright Refused to Leave Pregnant Michelle Keegan but Managed to ‘Scare Off’ Intruders
Mark Wright demonstrated his bravery and quick thinking when intruders broke into the home he shares with his pregnant wife, Michelle Keegan.
The shocking incident occurred at their £3.5 million Essex property on Tuesday night, leaving the couple shaken but unharmed.
According to reports, Mark and Michelle were alerted to the break-in when they heard a patio window shattering, followed by the activation of their security alarms.
The home invasion involved four suspects, who fled within minutes after Mark’s reaction made it clear they were not welcome.
Rather than confronting the intruders directly, the former TOWIE star prioritized Michelle’s safety.
He quickly locked them both inside a bedroom and began shouting at the burglars in an attempt to intimidate them. His actions appeared to work, as the intruders soon retreated before taking anything from the property.
A source close to the couple revealed that Mark’s first instinct was to protect Michelle and their unborn child. “His first thought was Michelle’s safety, and he acted quickly to ensure she was okay,” the source stated. “It was a terrifying experience for them both, but they are relieved that neither was physically harmed.”
Police arrived at the scene within eight minutes, thanks to the couple’s advanced security system, which immediately alerted law enforcement. Once officers secured the home, Mark and Michelle emerged from their room to provide their statements and hand over CCTV footage of the incident.
Essex Police confirmed the burglary attempt in a statement, saying: “It was reported that four suspects forced entry into the address, carried out a search, and then fled the scene. Our officers were on site within minutes. We are supporting the victims and conducting high-visibility patrols in the area.” Authorities also urged anyone with relevant information to come forward.
The terrifying ordeal comes at an otherwise joyful time for Mark and Michelle, who are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first child. The couple announced the pregnancy in December 2024 with a heartwarming social media post. Michelle, 37, shared a picture of herself cradling her baby bump on a beach, while Mark stood nearby, beaming. “2025 is going to be a special one for us…” she captioned the post.

Following the burglary, Mark received praise from former Metropolitan Police chief inspector Mick Neville, who commended his decision to stay by Michelle’s side rather than confronting the intruders. “Mark did the right thing,” Neville stated. “His priority was Michelle’s safety, and he acted wisely by securing them both until the police arrived.”
Despite the distressing event, Mark and Michelle remain focused on their future. With their first child on the way and their dream home nearly complete, they are determined to move past this ordeal and embrace the exciting chapter ahead.
