Lorraine Kelly has strongly criticized opera singer Wynne Evans after he was forced to leave the Strictly Come Dancing live tour following allegations of inappropriate behavior.

Evans, 53, had been participating in the tour after competing on the most recent season of Strictly.
However, his brief stint on the tour ended abruptly when footage emerged of him making an inappropriate sexual comment about presenter Janette Manrara.
The controversy unfolded when a video published by the Mail on Sunday showed Evans making a crude remark

that suggested a group sex encounter involving Manrara and EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick.

The remark was reportedly met with discomfort, as Borthwick is said to have visibly winced at the comment.

In the wake of the incident, Evans announced that he would be stepping down from the tour to “take some time out” and “prioritize my wellbeing.” Despite receiving some support from his Strictly dance partner, Katya Jones, Kelly was notably less forgiving.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday, Kelly expressed her disbelief at Evans’ actions. “I just don’t get it,” she said. “I don’t know why you would think that.” She further questioned the judgment of someone who would make such a comment, particularly when being filmed. “What kind of person says that anyway, but what kind of nutter does that when they are being filmed? It’s bad enough to think it but then say it, I don’t know, I don’t understand. I am baffled,” Kelly added.
Later in the morning, during a segment on her own show, Kelly did not hold back in her assessment of Evans. She described him as a “complete clown” for his actions, adding to the growing public criticism of the opera singer.

This latest controversy is not the first time Evans has found himself in the center of a media storm since his involvement with Strictly. His time on the dance competition was marred by tension with his professional partner, Katya Jones, which was caught on camera and went viral. One video from a live broadcast showed Evans awkwardly placing his hand on Jones’ stomach, only for her to move it and place it on her hip instead. The moment caused a stir on social media, with many speculating about the dynamics between the two dancers.
Further controversy arose when another video emerged following the same episode. In the footage, Jones appeared to avoid giving Evans a high five while standing behind co-host Claudia Winkleman. Jones turned her back on Evans and even seemed to roll her eyes, leading to rumors of a strained relationship between the pair. However, both Evans and Jones denied any tension, explaining the incident as a “silly joke” and brushing off the speculation.
The latest incident involving Evans has sparked a new round of scrutiny, with Kelly and other critics questioning his professionalism and judgment. While Evans has received some backing from his Strictly partner, Katya Jones, who has shown support following the scandal, Kelly’s harsh remarks reflect the growing public disapproval of his actions.

Evans’ departure from the Strictly live tour marks a significant shift for the opera singer, who had been a fan favorite during the television competition. While it’s unclear what the future holds for Evans in the wake of the controversy, it is clear that his actions have left a stain on his reputation. Whether he will be able to recover from this setback remains to be seen, but for now, his time in the public spotlight may have been overshadowed by his inappropriate behavior and the fallout from it.
As the situation continues to unfold, many are left questioning how Evans will address the incident and whether he will face further consequences. The Strictly tour, once a celebration of the dancers’ talent, has now become a platform for deeper conversations about professionalism, respect, and the boundaries of behavior within the entertainment industry.
