Katie Price has shared an emotional update regarding her son Harvey after he was reportedly asked to leave his residential care home.
The reality star and mother-of-five expressed her frustration over the situation,
explaining how she feels “let down” by the council and is now faced with the challenge of finding alternative accommodation for her son.
Harvey, 22, who is the son of Katie and former footballer Dwight Yorke, lives with multiple health conditions,

including Prader-Willi syndrome, autism, septo-optic dysplasia, and learning difficulties.

Prader-Willi syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that can cause an insatiable appetite, leading to obesity and associated health risks.

Katie has always been open about Harvey’s struggles and has worked tirelessly to ensure he receives the best possible care.
Taking to Instagram, Katie shared a heartwarming video of Harvey enjoying his time at home. In the clip, he could be seen sitting on a pink revolving chair as his mother asked, “You love being home?” to which he enthusiastically responded, “Yes, Mum!” She continued the conversation, reinforcing how happy he was to be back, while Harvey nodded in agreement. Another clip showed him at the barber, receiving a fresh haircut while relaxing in the chair.
The former glamour model previously revealed on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, that Harvey was removed from his residential placement because staff found him “too difficult” to manage. She admitted she was devastated by the sudden decision, especially since he was due to move into a new accommodation in just a few weeks. Speaking candidly, Katie explained: “Harvey is supposed to be moving in four-and-a-half weeks. They’ve changed management and said they won’t be able to cater for Harv because he’s too difficult. So now I’ve got to find another placement for him… so yeah, more drama to deal with.”

She went on to describe the impact this has had on both her and Harvey, revealing that he had been counting down the days until his big move. “We worked months and months for that, and he was told four-and-a-half weeks before that he couldn’t go there,” she shared. “Harvey has been doing the countdown. It’s stressful because you want the right thing for your child, and it takes so much time and effort to go back and do more meetings, more forms. It’s very time-consuming because you want the best for your child.”
In addition to housing struggles, Katie has also spoken out about her growing concerns over Harvey’s weight. Weighing 28 stone, his health has become a major worry due to the risks associated with his genetic condition. Last week, Katie admitted she was looking into weight-loss injections for Harvey as a potential solution to help him manage his size and prevent life-threatening complications.
She expressed fears that her eldest son could suffer severe health consequences if intervention is not taken soon. According to medical professionals, Harvey’s excessive weight gain places him at significant risk of heart disease, diabetes, and mobility issues. Katie revealed that top doctors have suggested weight-loss injections as a way to potentially improve his condition, describing the situation as “really serious.”

“He’s putting on weight. It doesn’t matter what we do,” she explained. “He can’t put his shoes on without sweating. He can’t walk far because he gets out of breath.”
Harvey’s battle with Prader-Willi syndrome has been a long-standing challenge for Katie, who has always been vocal about her dedication to ensuring he gets the right support. Given the complexities of his needs, finding suitable accommodation that can cater to his health and behavioral requirements has proven difficult.
Despite the setbacks, Katie remains determined to find the best possible living arrangement for Harvey while also addressing his health concerns. Fans and followers have expressed their support for the TV personality, praising her for her unwavering commitment to her son’s well-being. As she continues navigating these challenges, Katie’s focus remains on securing a safe and supportive environment for Harvey to thrive.
