Jeopardy! fans focused on a contestant more than the game on Thursday night, amazed at his choices in fashion
Jeopardy fans commented about a contestant’s look
Fans of Jeopardy! noticed something peculiar about a contestant on Thursday’s show.
The hit game show kicked off Thursday night with Dan Meyer, a fundraising professional from Chicago, Illinois; and Kiki Jamieson, a nonprofit consultant from Toronto, Ontario going up against the two-day champ Will Wallace, a game design director from Austin, Texas. Will is a two-day champ with winnings of $28,799.
While fans wanted to watch how the game played out, one thing Dan was wearing got their attention. Eagle-eyed fans noticed silver earrings dangling from Dan’s ears.
Fans took to X, formally known as Twitter, to share their thoughts. “I like Dan’s earrings. #Jeopardy,” one fan simply wrote.

Fans really liked Dan’s earrings
“This dude’s got the ears for them,” another commented. A third noted: “Lot of dangly earrings tonight #Jeopardy,” referencing the ones that fellow contestant Kiki wore.
A fourth eloquently wrote: “Dan’s earrings on #Jeopardy! are pretty cool. They are so exotic that he seems like a Prince from a far-a-way land that might dual-wield Scimitars whilst in romantic combat.”
“The earrings don’t match his suit. Should have worn the studs. #jeopardy,” another joked. But the comments weren’t contained to just X.
On the daily Reddit thread of the game, one fan wrote: “Contestant Dan with the earrings tonight!! Oh man! Not sure what to think about it. Do you, man!” Another commented: “Dan really rocked those earrings. They looked like double [helixes].”
Though fans enjoyed Dan’s fashion choices, he came in last only racking up $8,200. Will went on to win his third game in a row with a score of $13,400 – making his three-day total $55,598.
The show the night before had a lot of fan reaction as well. Those at home slammed it for having so many triple stumper questions.
