Don’t Speak, a ballad about Gwen’s split with ex-boyfriend and bandmate Tony Kanal, was a huge hit for Stefani and No Doubt from their 1995 breakout album, Tragic Kingdom. (The song was the third release off of the album behind Just a Girl and Spiderwebs.)
The song, which spent 16 weeks in the top spot on Billboard’s radio charts, and received a Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal Grammy nomination in 1997.
