Bradley Walsh, the long-standing and much-loved host of ITV’s The Chase,

has sparked speculation about his future on the quiz show as he embarks on a brand-new project away from the series.
The 64-year-old presenter is set to front an exciting documentary series on Sky History, leading to betting odds surfacing on who could replace him should he decide to step down.
Bradley Walsh’s New Adventure in Egypt

While Bradley remains at the helm of The Chase, his latest project has taken him on an epic journey to Egypt,

where he is on a mission to explore the mysteries surrounding the Great Pyramids.

The upcoming documentary, titled Bradley Walsh’s Egypt’s Cosmic Code, is a three-part series where the presenter will investigate Tutankhamun’s tomb, the enigmas of the Sphinx, and the long-debated question of how the pyramids were built over 4,500 years ago.
In a teaser clip, Bradley shares his enthusiasm for the topic:
“I’ve had a fascination with Egypt and the pyramids for a very, very long time. It’s an anomaly, an absolute cornucopia of ideas and fantasies.”
His adventure will see him put forward alternative theories about the origins of the pyramids, as he expresses skepticism over the traditional explanations.

“It certainly wasn’t the ancient Egyptians, four and a half thousand years ago. I have different theories,” he boldly states in the preview.
The trailer teases an exciting and humorous journey, describing Bradley as bringing his own “Indiana Jones hat, unique brand of entertainment, and camel-riding technique” to the historical sites of Egypt.
Could Bradley Walsh Be Leaving The Chase?
Although Bradley has not confirmed any plans to leave The Chase, recent betting odds have suggested that his 16-year tenure as host could come to an end in 2025.

According to betideas.com, Bradley is currently 4/6 odds-on to leave the show at some point this year. This speculation has led to various names being put forward as potential replacements, with some surprising contenders in the mix.
Who Could Replace Bradley Walsh on The Chase?
If Bradley were to step down, bookmakers have unveiled a list of possible replacements. Topping the list is Stephen Mulhern, who is currently the 2/1 favourite to take over the role.
Meanwhile, Bradley’s own son, Barney Walsh, is in the running at 5/1, tied with Roman Kemp. Other contenders include:

Alexander Armstrong (8/1) – Known for hosting Pointless, he could make the transition to The Chase.
Lee Mack (9/1) – The comedian and game show host is a strong possibility.
Ben Shephard (10/1) – The Tipping Point presenter has been frequently linked to ITV quiz shows.
Clara Amfo (10/1) – A fresh and unexpected choice from the world of radio and TV.
Bookmakers Weigh In

Lee Astley, a spokesperson for betideas.com, commented on the speculation:
“Bradley Walsh’s 16-year stint on The Chase could be coming to an end soon, with the presenter odds-on at 4/6 to leave the show anytime in 2025. Should Walsh depart, the most eye-catching name in the betting to replace him is his son Barney, who is 5/1 to step into his father’s shoes.”
He continued:

“Stephen Mulhern is the market favourite at 2/1 to become the show’s next presenter, with Roman Kemp also in the running at 5/1.”
Will Bradley Walsh Actually Leave The Chase?
Despite the speculation, Bradley has made no formal announcement about stepping down from his role as host. His new project on Sky History may simply be a temporary venture alongside his existing commitments.

For now, fans can look forward to seeing him in his exploratory role in Egypt, while The Chase remains under his watchful eye. Whether he eventually decides to pass the baton remains to be seen—but if the odds are anything to go by, ITV may already have a shortlist of potential successors lined up.
